Credit Card with Guaranteed Acceptance

With the many credit card companies that exist it is really hard to know what type of card to apply for.  If you are someone who has been rejected for a credit card in the past you may be a little hesitant to try again.  The good thing is with a little research and understanding you can find credit cards that offer guaranteed acceptance.  These cards allow you to turn in an application no matter what your current financial condition is and get approved.  There are a few terms and conditions you should pay attention to.  If you have been convicted of credit card fraud or a few other things the terms and conditions say they can refuse you.  The credit cards guaranteed acceptance just means that if you are in a bad credit history spot and high risk you can still get a card.

In some cases the card advertised is not going to be the one awarded.  Most of the advertisements are trying to entice you into the card company.  They still reserve the right to offer an appropriate interest rate.  The interest rate is going to be higher if you have had credit arrears in the last year or two.  Some cards state that you must be out of arrears for at least a year before applying in order to have the guaranteed acceptance work.  Here are a few of the cards on the market that guarantee acceptance.

Virgin Credit Cards, primarily in the UK offer guaranteed acceptance.  They are a prepaid credit card.  This means there will not be an interest rate for the card.  This is one of the reasons they have a 100% guaranteed acceptance.  You see with this particular company you are not getting a line of credit, but setting up an actual account with a balance.  The risk is towards you rather than the company.  These cards tend to have a hefty fee for start up as well as transactions and reloads.  The good news is with some of the prepaid cards if you have direct deposit you are able to save in the fees.  Other choices in prepaid cards are Bread, Tuxedo, Orchard, and Continental.

First Premier, Orchard, and Centennial are three credit card companies that will offer you guaranteed acceptance for credit cards, but they are not going to be prepaid deals.  They will offer you a higher interest rate to allow for the card to be awarded when you have credit arrears.  They are also going to ask for an annual fee.  The annual fee is usually between 48 and 79 dollars depending on the card.  This fee helps to reduce the interest rate a little bit, but it also shows the company you are willing to pay for the card in order to be accepted.

There are a few cards that will not offer an annual fee, but offer the guarantee of acceptance.  It is best to do complete research before you apply for any credit cards.

Credit Cards Gas Rewards

Rewards are such a good thing with credit cards when you can make them work for you.  In the light of today’s economy and fuel prices it is imperative to a lot of us to find a way to save all we can on money.  Most of us just try to change stations by finding the lowest gas price in town, but this is a fallacy.  The gas stations that have prices well below other gas stations are usually watering down their gas to make more money, but keep consumers driving in.  If you have ever been to one of these stations you know that the gas doesn’t last for as many miles as the other places.  So the thing is not to look for the less gas price, but the most reputable station.  Once you find that station and get great gas mileage you are cutting down on the total of gas you spend on a month.  I mean really if you fill up every two weeks you are doing better than filling up every week right?  So what can you do to save money while getting the best gas?

This is an easy answer.  You want a credit card with gas rewards.  How do you choose the correct one though?  There are literally fifty plus credit cards that will offer you rewards on gas.  The difference is going to be how they offer the gas rewards.  Let’s look at your first option.  Any gas station today has a gas credit card.  These credit cards are going to work for that gas station only.  In other words if you get a Texaco gas card you will be able to use it on other purchases in other stores, but you will not reap the rewards if you were to use it at a shell station.  These types of credit cards are Gas credit cards’ offering you rewards when you fill up at the pump or buy something in the convenience store.  They even offer rewards for other shops like service places, but it will depend on the actual card as to where you are going to get these rewards.  The company has to be willing to work with the card company via the rewards.

The other type of credit cards with gas rewards are the mainstream credit cards.  These credit cards offer you more than just gas discounts.  You can get vouchers for gas, cents off at the pump, but in most cases you will be earning cash back. For Discover you tend to earn 3 to 5% cash back on gas rewards.  They also have specific stations you are typically supposed to use.  With these cards you earn cash rewards on other purchases like books, movies, and tickets.  So the potential to earn the rewards are going to be a lot quicker.  You also get to use the rewards on other things besides gas, but if the purpose of the card is for gas then that’s what you will most likely use it for.
