Advanta Platinum with Rewards Card

Business Credit Cards

Business Credit Cards are offered through almost any credit card company.  The difference between these cards and others are the requirements and the savings you can earn.  We will be looking at a few business credit cards on the market to determine what the differences are and the potential help they can offer you.

Advanta has one business credit card that may be of interest.  They offer a zero percent introductory rate for 15 months.  Fifteen months is a long duration.  Most cards will only offer that for up to a year on purchases and balance transfers.  There is no annual fee and no setup fee.  You also have the potential of getting 7.99% on your APR after the introductory period is over.  Once the introductory period is over for the balance transfers the 7.99% is a fixed rate.  It will never change.  The purchases 7.99% APR is variable.  You can also earn rewards on travel or cash back for certain purchases.  There is zero fraud liability, meaning if you have been a victim of fraud you are not going to have to pay for those charges.

American Express is well known for their business cards.  They have zero APR for an introductory rate for up to 12 months.  They don’t have an annual fee or set up fee.  The interest rate is going to be 6.50%.  You get to earn 5% cash back on auto gas, office supplies and wireless services.  There is 1% cash back on other purchases.  There is no limit to the cash back you can earn.  Additional cards do not offer an annual fee, and you can save 3 to 25% on FedEx, Delta, Hertz and more.

So right here you see major differences in regular cards.  The interest rates are lower on business cards and the cash back rewards and other specialties tend to last longer and be more helpful to your business.  To get a business card you do have to have an actual business that is registered with your state or have proof of a home business.  The cards are generally sought more for a business person because of the benefits.  Some of us may just want to use the card we have in our wallet for business, but you can see the fallacy in this thinking.  Let’s take a look at more business credit cards.

Discover offers zero percent on balance transfers and card purchases for twelve months.  There is no annual fee or set up fee.  However they only offer 13.99% on interest rates.  This is rather high.  They offer 5% cash back on office supplies, 2% on gas, and 1% on all other purchases.  There is a potential of 5 to 20% cash back at top retailers.  They also offer free employee cards.  This card if you look at the two previous has less potential to make you happy.  The other thing to think about is where to use the card.  American Express and Discover are not always taken.
